Check the stop as well as the service

Open the map in BusSing and look for the stop you plan to use. Check the stop name and code against the stop information at the roadside. Nearby stops can have similar names, especially on opposite sides of a road.

Then confirm that the bus service takes you towards your destination. BusSing shows full bus routes with their stops, so you can look beyond the service number and check where the bus will actually go. Save the stop as a favourite when it becomes part of your regular commute.

Read arrival times as estimates

BusSing uses official LTA data for Singapore bus arrival estimates, covering SBS Transit, SMRT, Go-Ahead and Tower Transit. An arrival estimate is a prediction of when a bus will reach a stop, not a promise that it will arrive at that exact minute.

Look at the next option too

If several services can take you to your destination, compare them before committing to one. Looking at the next arrivals can also help you decide what to do if the first bus comes before you can reach the stop.

Leave a margin for your walk. A short estimate does not include the time it takes you to get out of a building, cross a road or find the correct stop. Avoid building a journey around a connection that only works if everything arrives exactly on time.

Follow the bus without reopening the map
