Staying out on Saturday, 7 November for Deepavali eve? Selected trains and connecting buses will run later, giving you more time to get home. Check both legs of your journey before leaving: the final train and the bus you need after it. All times below are Singapore time, and every departure at midnight or later falls on Sunday, 8 November 2026.
Leaving from Little India? Check your direction
SBS Transit's special timetable gives these last-train times at Little India station. The two lines and their directions have different cut-offs, so choose the row for the journey you actually need.
A departure time at HarbourFront or Bukit Panjang is not the boarding time at Little India. If you are joining the train elsewhere, check your station in the official poster linked below. Leave time to reach the platform.
| Line | Towards | Last departure |
|---|---|---|
| North East Line | Punggol Coast | 12:42 am |
| North East Line | HarbourFront | 12:25 am |
| Downtown Line | Expo | 12:26 am |
| Downtown Line | Bukit Panjang | 12:49 am |

North-South, East-West, Circle and Thomson-East Coast lines
SMRT has announced the following final departures for the night of 7 November. These times apply at the named departure stations. They are not a single closing time for the whole network.
For the Circle Line, pay attention to the terminating station. SMRT says passengers travelling from Dhoby Ghaut can change at Promenade for the anti-clockwise and clockwise trains. Check the transfer you need before setting off.
| Line | From and towards | Last departure |
|---|---|---|
| North-South | City Hall towards Jurong East and Marina South Pier | 12:30 am |
| East-West | City Hall towards Pasir Ris and Tuas Link | 12:30 am |

North East Line, Downtown Line and Sengkang-Punggol LRT
SBS Transit will extend these train services by about half an hour. The table shows the final MRT departures from each end of the line, plus the last LRT departures from Sengkang and Punggol.
If you need to change lines, check the last departure for the next leg too. A later train on your first line does not guarantee that your connection will still be running.
| Line | From and towards | Last departure |
|---|---|---|
| North East | HarbourFront towards Punggol Coast | 12:30 am |
| North East | Punggol Coast towards HarbourFront | 12:00 am |

| Sengkang LRT | From Sengkang | 1:06 am |
| Punggol LRT | From Punggol | 1:09 am |
Which buses will run later?
LTA's combined notice lists the following departure points, services and extended last-bus times. The extension applies to the listed services, including their letter suffixes. For example, a listing for 974A should not be read as an extension for every trip on service 974.
These are departures from the named points. If you board farther along the route, the time in this table is not the arrival time at your stop. Jurong East has the latest departures in the notice, at 1:50 am for 143M, 333, 334 and 335.

Bukit Panjang LRT and Changi Airport service hours are unchanged
SMRT has explicitly excluded the Bukit Panjang LRT and Changi Airport train service from the extension. If either is part of your journey, check its regular last-train timing separately. The later East-West Line departures from City Hall do not establish a later airport connection.
This guide covers the service night beginning on 7 November 2026. Do not carry these times over to another evening or another public holiday. Check the linked operator notices again before travelling in case the arrangements change.
Check the bus home before boarding your train
Work backwards from your final bus. Find its departure point and service in the extension table, then allow time for your train ride and the walk to the bus boarding area. Avoid a plan that only works if every connection is immediate.
BusSing's online last-bus checker can help you find your boarding stop and read its regular scheduled first and last buses. It does not verify special holiday extensions. Use the operator's Deepavali notice for the extended departures above, then check live arrivals for the exact stop and direction when available.
In the BusSing app, save the stop you will board at and check that your chosen service goes towards home. Live arrival estimates need an internet connection. An empty arrival list alone does not establish that the service has ended.
